X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter Missions DatabaseGame-specific instructionsTRAIN FormatIndividual TRAIN format missions (single player) are the most basic of mission types to add to the game. Open up rebel.lst for Rebel faction missions or open up imperial.lst for Imperial faction missions. At the end of the file add some text in the following format: //[Mission Grouping Title] // 100 Mission_filename.tie Mission Name The first three lines will create a separate section at the end of the list for the new missions. The title will show up as the text which is put between the '[' and ']' symbols. The fourth line is a number which is to be unique to that individual mission. It will keep the mission records for that mission separate from each of the other missions in the game. The fifth line is where you put in the filename (including the extension) that goes with this mission entry. The final line will be displayed as the mission name which can be selected from the in-game list. To add more missions, continue adding missions using the format from the last three lines, number, filename, and mission name. If the mission is a multiplayer mission, you must repeat the above instructions for the file mission.lst as well. Tour or CAMPAIGN (group of TRAIN format missions)To install an entire tour, download the zip file and unzip it to your XvT or BoP folder. Then follow this set of instructions:
[Campaign Name] // 100 * 5 0 filename.tie Mission 1 101 * 5 0 filename2.tie Mission 2 … … … COMBAT FormatIndividual COMBAT format missions are added in a very similar manner to TRAIN format missions. The title will show up as the text which is put between the ‘[‘ and ‘]’ symbols.
